This was the exact moment of the world's first "Cubi-X-Cross" strike onto land. While Stand Up Spiking (SUS™/Stand Up Spike™) with his newly developed SkateBoard Spike™ Patent Pending, "Cubi" meditated on how to seamlessly connect both lower and upper body into one physical move harnessing the entire body's energy and transferring it to land while on his skateboard. The outcome as you see here in the above photo illustration is the mid point of execution of a "Cubi-X-Cross"

The "Cubi-X-Cross" is symbolized by the X in the last three letters of the SUSOIX™ company name. SUSOIX™ is the global leader in SpikeBoarding™ and Stand Up Spike™ Products.

While SpikeBoard Racing™ racers will follow three main race indications printed on the race course pavement, they are O I X.

O is an indicator that neither the feet nor the SkateBoard Spike™ tip may touch the ground. Downhill.

I is an indicator that only the SkateBoard Spike™ tip may touch the ground and feet may not be used, this is referred to as SUS™ or Stand Up Spike™. Flats and rollers.

The Central Park LongBoarder, Enrique Cubillo, 47, placed third in the recent Adrenalina Skateboard Marathon World Cup on October 16, 2011 in Plano, Tex.
The Central Park LongBoarder was racing to promote an active and healthy lifestyle at any age via sports that later serve as transport. He was bested only by the current world record holder at the 26.2 mile distance, Jeff Vyain, USA, 27, and the reigning 24-hour record holder Paul Kent, Canada, 29.

In the remaining four miles of a hilly 26.2-mile course, the Central Park LongBoarder annihilated the previous Adrenalina SkateBoard Marathon Cup winner,Kiefer Dixon, USA, 22, on the last climb of the course, leaving him standing still to place only sixth overall.

The Central Park LongBoarder is dedicated to competing against the world's best endurance speed skateboarders, with help of a commitment to yearly training and a plant-based diet. The average age of the elite field was 23.

Riverside Symphony is a New York-based professional orchestra founded in 1981 by conductor George Rothman and composer Anthony Korf. The orchestra performs a three-concert series at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center and is recognized for programs which integrate an international array of contemporary works with lesser-known compositions by the great masters.^[1] The orchestra provides an ongoing forum for emerging soloists of exceptional promise and has showcased numerous instrumental and vocal talents over its 30-year history.

George Rothman continues to serve as Riverside Symphony's Music Director and Conductor. In addition to guest conducting appearances in Asia, Europe and South America, he was the Director of Music Performance at Columbia University and conductor of its orchestra and was Music Director of the Yale Symphony Orchestra. He currently serves as Music Director and Conductor of Brooklyn College's Conservatory Orchestra and Associate Professor of Music.^[2]

Artistic Director Anthony Korf, a 2008 Guggenheim Fellow, has been commissioned by The American Composers Orchestra, The San Francisco Symphony, the Koussevitsky Music Foundation, the NEA, and the New York State Council on the Arts. His honors also include a Goddard Lieberson Fellowship from The American Academy of Arts and Letters. Korf was co-founder of the noted New York-based new music ensemble Parnassus, for which he served as conductor and artistic director from 1975 through 2002.

Rakiem Walker Street Sax

I had the great pleasure of photographing alto saxophonist Rakiem Walker today at Central Park's Bethesda Fountain. See him performing here.
Apparently there is contention between citizens who feel the park's natural quiet sounds should be favored over moderate quality street musicians. Rakiem explained that for the last three years the musicians themselves have been doing fine job of sheparding the performers at the fountain and maintaining a peaceful and much appreciated vibe by a majority of park users. It makes sense to me that they should be allowed to remain.

NEW YORK, NY – The Yeshiva men’s basketball team (3-13, 3-9) ended a 6-game losing streak with a 75-65 home victory over the Dolphins from Mount Saint Vincent (12-5, 7-5). The Macs shot 55% from the field, while limiting their opponent to only 35%.

Gil Bash had a career night, scoring 26 points on 7-7 shooting from the field, including 1-1 from behind the arc and a near perfect 11-13 from the free throw line. He pulled down 9 boards and recorded 6 assists and 2 steals. Dovie Hoffman had 12 points, followed by Simon Brookim with 11 and Jeremy Pressman with 10. Pressman led all players with 7 assists.

Yeshiva opened the game with Gil Bash hitting a lay-up and finishing the three-point play with a free throw, and the Macs went ahead 12-2 in the first 4 minutes of play. They increased their lead to as much as 14 midway through the first half, and ended the opening 20 minutes with a 35-30 lead.

The Dolphins responded with a run of their own to open the second half, pulling to within 1 at the 13:15 mark. However, the Macs scored the next six and never really looked back. The Dolphins did get the margin down to 3 with about 3 minutes remaining, but Yeshiva once again scored 9 straight to and put the game out of reach. The Macs sealed the game from the free-throw line, connecting on 9-10 in the final minute (7-8 from Bash). Yeshiva never trailed from start to finish.

Yeshiva will look to continue their winning ways on the road at Purchase Wednesday evening at 8PM. The two teams met at the MSAC the first game of the season and Purchase won 61-48.

Carter, 2003), Aligning the Stars: How to Succeed When Professionals Drive Results (with Thomas J. Tierney, 2002), and Pawns or Potentates: The Reality of America's Corporate Boards (1989). Organization and Environment (with Paul R. Lawrence) won the Academy of Management's Best Management Book of the Year Award and the James A. Professor of Management & Professor of Political Science

Professor Bracken is a leading expert in global competition and the strategic application of technology in business and defense. He has devoted his research and teaching to developing solutions for senior management as it deals with rapidly changing strategic developments under conditions of intense uncertainty.

At Yale he designed and teaches the new MBA required course on Problem Framing, which uses scenario techniques and alternative futures to navigate and create new value in a turbulent business environment. The tools in this course are applied to business cases in private equity, technology, energy, and political risk. Bracken is considered an expert in private equity and his analyses offers rich insights to his students — both in the classroom and the boardroom.

Bracken also teaches Business, Government, and Globalization, which examines the multinational corporation's strategy and structure under globalization; and Strategy, Technology, and War which develops technology and innovation landscapes for business and defense.

Professor Bracken is rated as the best teacher in Yale's executive education programs. He has taught in corporate education programs in the U.S. and around the world. He is a consultant to private equity funds, accounting, and insurance companies as well as to various parts of the U.S. Government. He often leads business war games for companies facing new challenges, and recently ran a game on the competitive evolution of the European asset management industry. A member of the Council on Foreign Relations, he serves on the Chief of Naval Operations Executive Panel, the Transformation Advisory Group of the U.S. Joint Forces Command, as well as advising other parts of the Government and National Academy of Sciences Task Forces.

At Yale he is a Fellow of Silliman College and a member of the Elizabethan Club. Before joining the Yale faculty, Professor Bracken was on the senior staff of the Hudson Institute for ten years, where he led the management consulting arm of the Institute. Bracken grew up in Philadelphia, and he enjoys golf, dude ranching, and ham radio.

As GLEE hit off with yet another spectacular new season on FOX, American Australian Association were excited to have its lead star Matthew Morrison as the special guest performer at the Benefit Dinner 2010.

A star of stage and screen, Matthew has been nominated for Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe awards. He currently stars in GLEE, Fox’s hit musical comedy series from Ryan Murphy. In the show, Matthew stars as Will Schuester, an optimistic high school teacher who tries to refuel his own passion while reinventing the high school’s glee club and challenging a group of outcasts to realize their star potential.

He will next be releasing his debut solo album with Mercury Records in early 2011.

Matthew studied musical theater, vocal performance and dance at New York University’s renowned Tisch School of the Arts. His big Broadway break came when he was cast as heartthrob Link Larkin in the hit “Hairspray.” He was later nominated for a Tony Award for his role in “The Light in the Piazza,” and received a Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Musical for “10 Million Miles.” He also starred in the Tony Winning revival of “South Pacific” at Lincoln Center Theater in New York.

A California native, Matthew divides his time between Los Angeles and New York.

Golden Globe Award-winner, GLEE boasts critical acclaim with an incredible 19 Emmy nominations - earning it the distinction of being the most-nominated series of the year. Nouriel Roubini (born 29 March 1959) is an American professor of economics at New York University's Stern School of Business and chairman of Roubini Global Economics, an economic consultancy firm.

After receiving a BA in political economics at Bocconi University, Milan, Italy and a doctorate in international economics at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, he began academic research and policy making by teaching at Yale while also spending time at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Federal Reserve, World Bank, and Bank of Israel. Much of his early studies focused on emerging markets. During the administration of President Bill Clinton, he was a senior economist for the Council of Economic Advisers, later moving to the United States Treasury Department as a senior adviser to Timothy Geithner, who is now Treasury Secretary.

In 2008, Fortune magazine wrote: "In 2005 Roubini said home prices were riding a speculative wave that would soon sink the economy. Back then the professor was called a Cassandra. Now he's a sage".^[1] The New York Times wrote that he foresaw "homeowners defaulting on mortgages, trillions of dollars of mortgage-backed securities unraveling worldwide and the global financial system shuddering to a halt".^[2] In September 2006, he warned a skeptical IMF that: "The United States was likely to face a once-in-a-lifetime housing bust, an oil shock, sharply declining consumer confidence, and, ultimately, a deep recession". According to IMF economist Prakash Loungani, he was considered "a prophet" in 2007.^[2]

As Roubini's descriptions of the current economic crisis have proven to be accurate, he is today a major figure in the U.S. and international debate about the economy, and spends much of his time shuttling between meetings with central bank governors and finance ministers in Europe and Asia.^[2] Although he is ranked only 410th in terms of lifetime academic citations,^[3] Prospect Magazine, in January 2009, voted him #2 on its "list of the world’s 100 greatest living public intellectuals".^[4] In 2009, Roubini was ranked #4 on Foreign Policy magazine's list of the "top 100 global thinkers", and named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine.^[5]^[6] He has appeared before Congress, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the World Economic Forum at Davos.

Robin Wright is a journalist, author and foreign policy analyst. Her project focuses on Iran, the Middle East, South Asia and the wider Islamic world. She is exploring what has happened to the Islamic world in the decade since 9/11 and the thinkers and trends that will define the future of the Islamic world over the next decade, when many of the most difficult conflicts and intransigent ideologies facing the United States will be in the fifty-seven countries of the Islamic word. Wright will document the voices now struggling to adapt traditions and to reinterpret Koranic scripture.

Robin Wright has reported from more than 140 countries on six continents for The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Sunday Times of London, CBS News and The Christian Science Monitor. She has also written for The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times Magazine, TIME, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, The International Herald Tribune and many others. Her foreign tours include five years in the Middle East, two years in Europe, seven years in Africa, and several years as a roving foreign correspondent, including travels throughout Latin America and Asia. She most recently covered U.S. foreign policy for The Washington Post. Besides a long career in journalism, Ms. Wright has been a fellow at the Smithsonian's Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the Brookings Institution, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Yale University, Duke University, Stanford University, the University of California at Santa Barbara, and the University of Southern California.
